Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information CoinAugur (coinaugur.ai) collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be transparent about the rest.

Last updated: 4 July 2026

1. Overview

The data controller responsible for your personal information is COINAUGUR LTD (Company No. 17305080). For any privacy query, contact us at support@coinaugur.ai.

CoinAugur provides informational crypto market data and AI-generated forecasts. You can browse most of CoinAugur without providing any personal information. We only collect personal data when you choose to give it to us — for example, by contacting us or subscribing to forecast alerts — or where limited technical data is needed to operate and secure the service.

This policy is written for the laws of England and Wales, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact information you submit. If you email us or use a contact link, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
  • Email addresses for forecast alerts and newsletters. Where you voluntarily subscribe, we collect your email address to send the CoinAugur Weekly Forecast Brief and related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Usage analytics. Where you consent, we use privacy-focused analytics tools — such as Vercel Web Analytics — to collect aggregated, non-identifying information about how pages are used (for example page views, referrers, and general device or country level data), to help us improve CoinAugur. This data is not used to identify you.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Used to keep the site working and, with your consent, for analytics and preferences. See our Cookie Policy.
  • Account information. If you create a CoinAugur account, we collect your email address and, where provided, a display name and profile picture. See “User accounts” below.
  • Browser and device information. Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, primarily for security and reliability.

Voluntary subscriptions

We may collect email addresses for forecast alerts and newsletters only where you choose to subscribe. We never sell your data.

3. User accounts

Creating a CoinAugur account is optional and lets you save preferences and a watchlist. Accounts are powered by our authentication provider, Supabase, which securely stores your credentials on our behalf — we never see or store your password.

  • Email & password sign-in. We store your email address; your password is hashed and managed by our authentication provider, not by us directly.
  • Google sign-in. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares basic profile information (your email address, name, and profile picture) so we can create your account. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Account preferences. Settings such as your preferred display currency, display name, and forecast-alert preference, so your experience persists across devices.
  • Watchlist. The coins you choose to save, linked to your account.
  • Login & session data. Secure session cookies that keep you signed in, plus limited technical data used to protect your account.
  • Password reset emails. When you request a reset, we send a secure, time-limited link to your email address.

Deleting your account

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@coinaugur.ai. We action these requests promptly.

4. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and secure CoinAugur.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
  • To send forecast alerts and newsletters you have subscribed to.
  • To understand usage and improve our content and features.
  • To create and manage your account, remember your preferences, and keep you signed in securely.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse.
  • To comply with our legal obligations.

6. Cookies

CoinAugur uses strictly necessary cookies to function, and — only with your consent — analytics and preference cookies. You can review and change your choices at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

7. Third-party providers we share with

We share limited data with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf, under appropriate agreements:

  • Analytics providers — such as Vercel Web Analytics, to measure aggregated, non-identifying usage.
  • Email providers — to deliver alerts, newsletters, and replies to your enquiries.
  • Authentication & identity providers — Supabase (account and session management) and Google (where you choose to sign in with Google), to create and secure your account.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — to serve and secure the site.
  • Legal and regulatory bodies — where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

8. Storage and security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Retention periods

  • Newsletter / alert subscriptions — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details.
  • Support correspondence — typically up to 24 months after your enquiry is resolved.
  • Account data — kept while your account is active, and deleted (or anonymised) after you close it or request deletion.
  • Analytics and technical logs — retained for a limited period in aggregated or minimised form.

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy or as required by law.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request erasure of your data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Request portability of your data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@coinaugur.ai.

11. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection, such as relying on adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards like standard contractual clauses.

12. Children's privacy

CoinAugur is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

13. Giveaways and promotions

When you enter a giveaway, prize draw, or promotion we run (see the Giveaways, prize draws and promotions section of our Terms of Use), we may process personal data to administer it.

  • Data we may process — your name or social media handle, email address, delivery or contact details, information needed to verify eligibility (such as age or location), and communications between us.
  • How we use it — to administer the promotion, verify eligibility, select and contact winners, deliver prizes, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with our legal obligations.
  • Legal bases — the performance of the promotion terms with you, our legitimate interests in running promotions fairly and preventing abuse, and compliance with legal obligations.

We only collect what we need for the promotion, and we do not publish a winner’s personal details beyond what the promotion describes without consent, unless we are required to do so by law. Your rights over this data are the same as set out in Your rights above.

14. Job applicants and recruitment

When you apply for a role at CoinAugur — for example through our Jobs page — we process the personal data you provide in order to consider your application and manage our recruitment process.

  • Data we process. Your name, email address, CV / résumé and its contents, and anything else you choose to include — such as a cover message, links (LinkedIn, portfolio, GitHub), current location, notice period, right-to-work status, and salary expectations.
  • How we use it. To assess your suitability for the role, communicate with you about your application, and — if relevant — keep you in mind for future opportunities.
  • Legal bases. Taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interests in recruiting for and running our business, balanced against your rights.
  • Storage and access. Applications and CVs are stored securely with our infrastructure provider. CVs are held in private storage and are only accessible to authorised members of our team; they are never made public.
  • Retention. We keep application data only as long as necessary for the recruitment process and a reasonable period afterwards, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your application data sooner at any time.

Withdrawing an application

You can ask us to update or delete your application and CV at any time by emailing support@coinaugur.ai. Your rights over this data are the same as set out in Your rights above.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
